Electrical Work for Induction Range Circuits

Induction cooking uses copper coils beneath a glass surface to generate magnetic fields that heat pots and pans directly rather than warming the air or the cooktop. This delivers fast heating, precise temperature control, and high energy efficiency.

Most standard full-size induction ranges require a dedicated 240-volt electrical circuit controlled by a 40 to 50-amp double-pole circuit breaker (and up to 60 amps for extra-large commercial-style units). Newer alternative “battery-assisted” induction ranges can run safely on a standard residential 120-volt, 15 or 20-amp circuit.

Lasting Electric provides the installation of dedicated electrical circuits for induction ranges. Our team is well-versed in induction kitchens and cooking, so we’ll make sure your new kitchen is properly equipped and operates efficiently. Everything will be fully explained to you, so you can make the most of your induction kitchen.
